No. 686 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 1:30 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawai`i 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 686, reports as <br /> follows: <br /> Communication No. 686, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated January 4, 2018, nominates <br /> Kevin McLaughlin to the Hawaii County South Kohala Community Development Plan Action <br /> Committee. <br /> Ms. Rose Bautista, Executive Assistant to Mayor Kim, introduced Mr. McLaughlin who <br /> appeared in person. Mr. McLaughlin was most recently a software engineer manager with <br /> Apple, Inc., and stated that he is not a member of any political party. If confirmed, he will fill a <br /> vacant seat and serve a term to expire on January 31, 2021. <br /> Several Council Members commented in favor of Mr. McLaughlin. The vote was then taken <br /> with all Council Members voting"aye."
