No. 687 <br /> PLACE: Council Chambers <br /> Kailua-Kona, Hawai`i <br /> TIME: 1:30 p.m. <br /> Council Chair and Members <br /> Hawai`i County Council <br /> Hilo, Hawaii 96720 <br /> Your Committee on Planning, to which was referred Communication No. 687, reports as <br /> follows: <br /> Communication No. 687, transmitted by Mayor Harry Kim, dated January 4, 2018, nominates <br /> J William Sanborn to the Hawai`i County South Kohala Community Development Plan Action <br /> Committee. <br /> Ms. Rose Bautista, Executive Assistant to Mayor Kim, introduced Mr. Sanborn who appeared in <br /> person. Mr. Sanborn is a lifetime resident of Hawaii and states that he is not a member of any <br /> political party. If confirmed, he will serve a term to expire on January 31, 2020. <br /> Several Council Members commented in favor of Mr. Sanborn. The vote was then taken with all <br /> Council Members voting "aye."
