RESOLUTION NO. 492 18
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND
RECREATION TO PURCHASE A 15" LAPTOP AND PRINTER FOR YANO HALL.
WHEREAS,the Recreation Division of the Department of Parks and Recreation plans,
conducts, arranges, and promotes organized recreation and athletic activities for all age groups at
recreation centers and facilities throughout the County of Hawai`i; and
WHEREAS, Yano Hall serves as a remote facility, overseeing Arthur L. Greenwell Park,
Kona Scenic Park, and Honaunau Rodeo Arena,which are located miles away from the main
office where staff are located; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is requesting funds to purchase a
15" laptop and printer to improve efficiency and communication from Yano Hall to each venue
or facility under its general oversight; now,therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contigency Relief funds from Council District 6 will be appropriated to the Department of Parks
and Recreation to purchase a 15"laptop and printer for Yano Hall.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
