Dear Chairwoman Poindexter and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Scott Ancheta of Council District 6 to the Transportation
Commission. Mr. Ancheta has worked in the high tech industry for approximately 17
years and is currently employed as a VP of Business Development at Dimension Data,
an international company specializing in Information Technology. He previously worked
at CISCO Systems, Inc. where he did extensive work on Smart Cities, traffic
management and self-driving transportation systems.
Mr. Ancheta holds a BS Engineering degree from the Universityof Michigan and an

EMBA from the University of Pennsylvania -The Wharton School.
Mr. Ancheta and his family relocated to the Big Island from Texas about a year ago.
While in Texas, he served on many governing boards, including youth sports such as
soccer and hockey.
Mr. Ancheta is a registered Democrat. If confirmed, he will serve a term ending
December 31, 2022.
