Dear Chairwoman Poindexter and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Stanley Marks of Council District 8 to the Transporta€ton
Commission. Mr. Marks has extensive knowledge of transportation operations having
worked for Horizon Air, Pepsi Cola, and Bolton, Inc., a construction company.
Mr. Marks attended the University of Idaho and the International Air Academy, in
Vancouver, Washington. He has lived in Hawai'i for approximately 26 years and is
familiar with the transportation challenges of our island.
Mr. Marks is not affiliated with any political party. If confirmed, he will serve a vacant
term ending December 31, 2018 and will qualify to apply for re-appointment to a full
five-year term.
