Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation, to which was referred Bill No. 96, reports
as follows:
Bill No. 96, transmitted by Department of Public Works Acting Director Allan G. Simeon, via
Communication 703 dated January 2, 2018, requests that Hawai'i County Code, Chapter 24, Article 10,
Division 5 (Parking), Section 24-279, Schedule 27 (Parking on pavement prohibited at all times),
paragraph(c) South Hilo be amended to include both sides of five hundred fifty-seven feet of
Government Road Tax Map Key: (3) 2-7-029. This narrow roadway is located in Onomea.
There was no discussion on this matter. .
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and intent of
Bill 96, and recommends its passage on first reading.
