K. Lee Loy, via Communication 704 <br /> dated January 4, 2018, names a building located at the Ho`olulu Complex, covered by Tax Map <br /> Key: 2-2-033:016, and amends Chapter 15, Article 8, Section 15-68.1 of the Hawai`i County <br /> Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended) relating to the Parks and Recreational Facility Schedule. <br /> The proposed bill names the building located adjacent to the Aunty Sally Kaleohano's Luau Hale at <br /> the Ho`olulu Complex the"Aunty Dottie Thompson Hale"in honor of the late Dorothy Thompson. <br /> There was large community support for this bill. Council Members praised the work of <br /> Aunty Dottie Thompson, and expressed appreciation for the many years of hard-work by the Department <br /> of Parks and Recreation's staff.
