Dear Chairman Arakaki and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to submit the nomination of Clarence Mills of
Kamuela, Council District 9, to the Hawaii County Police
Commission to replace Wray T. Straus, whose term will expire on
December 31, 1996.
Mr. Mills is a life-time resident of Hawaii and has been with
the State of Hawaii Department of Education since 1966, and is
currently the Deputy District Superintendent. He is a member
of the Waimea Lions Club and has past services with several
community and civic oriented organizations. He is a registered
Democrat.
If approved, Mr. Mills will serve a term to end December 31,
