Subject:Support for Res.454-18 for funds to Hui Pono Holoholona
I support Res. 454-18 which appropriates $1,500.00 from Contingency
Funds to Hui Pono Holoholona for microchips, cat food and medications
for the Animal Balance sterilization clinics scheduled in February 2018.
We must implement a cost-effective strategic plan to address the animal
overpopulation and stopthe need to kill homeless and
humanely
community animals in Hawaii County. Trap-Neuter-Live release and
placement programs are much needed and we need professional
organizations with expertise to get us on the right track, with training and
mana-o to support our goals of humanely managing our island's animal
population issues.
