To Council Woman Valerie Souza Poindexter.
I am writing this letter as a resident of Honokaa, a Volunteer of our
community and a friend of the Late Lala Epenesa asking for your support of
Bill No. 99.
If you are anyone that has had a child or grandchild who has ever played a
sport in our Honokaa Community than you know who Lala Epenesa is!
On January 4, 2018 the Epenesa family as well as our entire Honokaa
Community suffered a massive loss with the passing of this man.
Lala not only gave more time but, more importantly he gave his love and
knowledge of sports to the kids of our community more than any other
human being I have had the privilege & honor to know. 1,031Vj

Being a long time active community volunteer in this day and age is very
difficult. There are less and less people who feel the need to be active in
their communities. It is my hopes and prayers that with your support on Bill
No. 99 that our park will not only honor this great man for his many years of
service to the children and our community but, that it will be a reminder to
the children that he impacted to pass that knowledge onto our next
generation!
