To whom it may concern,
Lala Epenesa Jr. was a pillar of our community and dedicated his time and gave his all to our
community, especially our children. He was a great role model to them by showing them how
to give back. He spent countless hours after work at that field being a coach for kids of all
ages. He was always the first at that field and the last to leave. Lala took pride in being a coach
for our children who looked up to him with respect. While coaching our children he taught them
how to be independent and responsible. But most of all he taught them how to take care of our
park. He taught our kids how to care for the field by raking it after they were done with it and
picking up all the rubbish around the field when practice was over. Our kids deserve to see this
field dedicated in honor of Coach Lala.
In closing, I'd like to say please vote yes to bill no. 99 and naming the Honokaa softball field in
honor of Lala Epenesa Jr. who dedicated his time to our community and our kids who are our
future and always teaching them to give back to their community.
