------ <br /> ------ <br /> COUNTY <br /> --yCOUNTY OF HAWAII -•_fi-'- %_*' STATE OF HAWAII <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 513 18 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO ASSIST THE POLICE DEPARTMENT WITH <br /> THE NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PROGRAM IN KONA. <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Department strives to protect life and property and to actively <br /> involve the community in crime prevention programs, such as Neighborhood Watch; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Neighborhood Watch program is a collaboration between the Police <br /> Department and community members dedicated to creating safer communities; and <br /> WHEREAS,this crime prevention program utilizes an"observe and report"method that <br /> helps neighbors to watch out for each other and to minimize crime in their community; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Police Department is requesting funds to purchase needed supplies, <br /> such as T-shirts, training manuals (Disaster and Survivor Handbook), and document binders for <br /> the Neighborhood Watch program in Kona; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 7 will be appropriated to the Police Department <br /> for the Neighborhood Watch program in Kona. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br /> FUND: General <br /> AMOUNT OF <br /> APPROPRIATION: $1,000 <br /> OUT AND FROM: <br /> 010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC—Contingency Relief $1,000 <br /> CREDITED TO: <br /> 010.201.5212.02 Police Department $1,000 <br /> Kona Police—OCE <br /> 235 Misc.
