As a kid, my grandpa took me to watch my uncle play football, he was a classmate and teammate of Lala
Epenesa Jr., so I got to watch Lala play football. Also being a Honokaa Alumni, I grew up knowing who he was
and over the last 5 years I also had the opportunity to work with him as well since I work for the County in the
IT department. Always smiling, he was a special person, he cared for the Community and helped coached
many teams. I'd like to vote Yes to Bill No. 99 in support of naming the softball field in Honokaa, "Lala Epenesa
Jr. Ballfield".
