Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill 105, reports as follows:
Bill 105, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 736 dated
February 1, 2018, amends Ordinance No. 17-39, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County
of Hawai`i for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2018.
This bill appropriates revenues in the Federal Grants—Department of Health (DOH) Complete Streets
account ($9,700); and appropriates the same to the DOH Complete Streets—Federal account. Funds
would be used by the Planning Department to allow key staff to attend Complete Streets trainings to
plan for, design, and operate streets with safe access for all users.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill 105, and recommends its
passage on first reading.
