Dear Chair Poindexter and Council Members:
It is my pleasure to nominate Mark Hinshaw to the Puna Community Development Plan
(CDP) Action Committee.
Mr. Hinshaw is retired and has long been very active in the Puna community. His long
list of participation includes serving as President of the Mainstreet Pahoa Association,
Chairperson of the Pahoa Regional Town Center Plan Steering Committee and founder
of the Pahoa Schools Booster Club and Scholarship Fund.
Mr. Hinshaw has been a resident of Hawaii Island for 35 years and currently lives in
Pahoa. He is a registered member of the Democratic Party.
If confirmed, Mr. Hinshaw will serve a term to expire on December 31, 2019.
