BILL NO. 119
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 24, ARTICLE 10, DIVISION 1, OF THE
HAWAII COUNTY CODE 1983 (2016 EDITION, AS AMENDED), RELATING TO SPEED
LIMITS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1 (Speed Limits), section 24-257;
schedule 5, 35 mile per hour limit, paragraph (f) Kona, of the Hawaii County Code 1983
(2016 Edition, as amended), is amended by revising an existing listing to read as follows:
"Ka`iminani Drive, [.75 mile east ofT Stfeet ] from Ane Keohokalole
Highway to [Reute+Highway 190."
SECTION 2. Chapter 24, article 10, division 1 (Speed Limits), section 24-257,
schedule 5, 35 mile per hour limit, paragraph (f) Kona, of the Hawaii County Code 1983
(2016 Edition, as amended), is amended by adding a new listing to be appropriately
inserted and read as follows:
"Ka` iminani Drive, from Highway 19 to Lau` i Street."
SECTION 3. Material to be repealed is bracketed and stricken. New material is
underscored. In printing this ordinance, the brackets, bracketed and stricken material and
underscoring need not be included.
SECTION 4. Severability. If any provision of this ordinance, or the application
thereof to any person or circumstance, is held invalid, the invalidity does not affect other
provisions or applications of the ordinance, which can be given effect without the invalid
provision or application, and to this end, the provisions of this ordinance are severable.
SECTION 5. This ordinance shall take effect upon its approval.
