Subject: 1/2% GE tax for public transportation on Hawaii Island
Aloha:
I live in Kamuela, Hawaii Island and feel compelled to offer my opinion on this tax and public transportation.
Our bus system is sad, deteriorating and embarrassing. Management seems to be over their heads and very
little changes. I would urge this council or their agents to get out of this state or out of this country and bring back
public transportation ideas that work. Hawaii can't continue to be isolated in a tiny little world resistant to modern
technology and progress. Let's broaden our field of vision and offer genuine improvement for the people that live here.
I support this increase of the GE tax for Hawaii Island with the above conditions. Let's do better.
