HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOM 0765.023 2016-2018Our Neighbor brought somewhere between 35 to 50 Roosters on to his property, around three month ago, just 50 feet from our house. We are living on small 1 to 2 acre narrow lots in our neighborhood. The noise is unbelievable from very early mornings on (sometimes as early as midnight)..and most parts of the day. The noise is extremely stressful, disrupts our sleep and health, it is not possible to relax in our own home anymore. Besides our personal loss I strongly support all farmers and the movement we are having in the last few years to be more sustainable here on our island. Farming is hard enough by itself, but very discouraging when one of your Neighbors can bring in dozens of fighting roosters, who have no real agricultural value, don't contribute with tax money and you , the small farmer has to deal with the stress, the feral chickens and lose your property value on top. I hope very much that our county government will enact this bill. Mahalo Agathe Frings awrm 140. _106-" 0! Ref.
