Subject: Rooster farms
I completely support your efforts to reign in rooster farms. The problem is that the police do not enforce zoning laws
in residential areas so I fear they will fair worse in areas zoned agricultural.
I live on Wainaku zoned strictly residential, yet there are two rooster farms in plain view. The roosters crow all
night. They are disturbing the sleep of the neighborhood. Calls to the police are met with a kind of disregard.
We installed double paned windows at great cost. It keeps the noise down, at the expense of fresh air and hearing the
surf at night.
