Aloha ms O'Hara;
I was given your info by my real estate broker Marti Morishige, encouraging people to write to you in support of the
rooster bill that's being addressed in the county council. As a resident of Hawaii island for almost 12 years, 9 of
which was living in the Hawaiian beaches subdivision, I can personally attest that people living on small lots next to
each other in close proximity with many domestic and fed wild roosters is a major problem. I had to put up with the
sound of multiple roosters crowing day and night, as well as barking and howling dogs, only several feet away from
my bedroom window. I never got used to it, and was almost always sleep deprived. It was one of the major reasons I
sold my home and moved to a quieter neighborhood. The lack of noise pollution since then has made a major
improvement on my quality of life. No one should have to be subjected to this kind abuse. Please do whatever you
can to make sure this bill gets passed. Thank you very much for your efforts in this matter.
