I would like to add my voice in support of bill 112.
First of all I do have first hand experience.
We have been on our property for 19 years and my self and my wife have built our house on what
we thought was a very peaceful and quiet property.
Now our peace and quiet has been reversed by a rooster farm that our neighbor brought to his
property. The noise is insistent at all hours. That is one thing but the fact that the only reason to raise
these birds is to support a criminal activity (cock fighting) is disconcerting.
In no way is raising cocks with the sole purpose of fighting them to there death so people can bet on
them, an agricultural activity and should not be allowed on any Ag land.
Along with this comes the fear that, if we speak out in any way we could face harm to ourselves or
our property. That is not the way we want to live.
I have no recourse to do anything about this, accept supporting this bill.
I do know that one of the arguments is that this is a cultural activity. To be clear this cultural activity
has been brought to the Hawaiian islands and was not part of the Hawaiian heritage.
Please support bill 112 for the peace and security of our community.
