For this reason "a real farmer" would cull almost all the roosters. Ocassionally, if they did actually rarely need a rooster for genetic diversity they would swap a rooster out with a different farmer. I would also like to point out as a matter of law in Hawaii. In Hawaii obnoxius/disturbing sound is a form of trespassing. A person can legally make as much sound as they want IF it stays on their property. The problem arrives when sound travels over the border of their property onto other people's properties and invades/infringes other's right to peaceful and quiet enjoyment of their own property. I was taught that by a woman who taught a real estate class in Kahala many years ago. She was retired but at one point had sold the most expensive piece of real estate on Oahu. Which makes me think she knew what she was talking about. I'll spare you my opinion, but I do ask you to take this information into consideration when voting on Rooster Farms.
