To whom it may concern,
I am a resident on the Big Island of Hawaii.and I am writing to voice my opinion on Bill 112. 1 am in strong
opposition of this bill. It is unfair and unjust to target citizens who raise fowl. Despite flaunting her agricultural
degrees on a social media platform, Councilwoman O'Hara is ignorant on the issues that surround raising fowl. If
she truly wants to be a champion of the people then she needs to actually LISTEN to them, ALL of them, not just
those with lighter skin and fat wallets. She needs to look at the big picture and see that this bill will hurt more people
than help.
This bill will not only hurt the people of Puna, but constituents island wide. You will literally be bankrupting entire
families who greatly depend on raising fowl.
I oppose Bill 112. I will be paying close attention to the vote on this bill. MY vote at upcoming elections will be
against anyone that votes in favor of this bill. I will be encouraging like-minded friends and family members island
wide to do the same.
