To: Council Testimony ° C'''' Subject: Opposed to BILL 112 Date: Monday, March 12, 2018 10:09:57 AM Dear Hawaii County Council Members of the Planning Committee, 11 ME- I am opposed to Bill 112. Specifically, i am opposed to your limit on roosters. Your bill says that rooster farms are SMELLY and NOISY. Well just in case you forgot, roosters are FARM animals and as such ALL FARM ANIMALS BELONG ON AG LAND. If we put a limit to roosters soon there will be limits put on other farm animals just because they are acting like FARM ANIMALS. Anyone who moves onto ag land needs to understand that ag land is for farm animals and that farm animals make lots of noise and farm smells are natural occurrences on ag land. If people cant stand the noise then perhaps THEY are the problem and not the animal. Perhaps we should be questioning their health instead of farm animal noise. Have they tried earplugs because they work wonderfully. Are they taking magnesium to help them sleep? Because most people are deficient in this very important mineral. Whats upsetting is that we have more and more transplants from the US moving onto ag land and expecting it to be quiet. Well thats not what ag land is for. If they cant stand the noises and smells then MOVE OUT FOOL! ! ! Mahalo, Josephine Keliipio Kailua Kona, Hawaii 96740 Sent from Yahoo Mail on Android %mra; I C'
