Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 114, reports as follows:
Bill No. 114, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna Sako, via Communication No. 781 dated
February 23, 2018, Amends Ordinance No. 17-39, as amended, the operating budget for the County
of Hawai`i for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2018.
This bill increases revenues in the Federal Grants —Housing Choice Voucher Program account
($2.5 million); and appropriates the same to the Voucher Rental Subsidies account for a total
appropriation of$17.5 million. Funds would be used for payment of rental assistance for eligible
participants.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 114, and recommends
its passage on first reading.
