RE: Proposed Amendments to Resolution No. 540-18; A Resolution
Transferring/Appropriating an Appropriation Out and From a Designated Fund
Account and Crediting Same to a Designated Fund Account to Provide a Grant to
the Hilo Hdmdkua Community Development Corporation for the Wainaku
Kaiwiki Community Health and Wellness Event.
Please see below proposed amendments to Resolution No. 540-18 to insert "Wainaku" into
various sections of the resolution. The proposed amendments are shown in Ramseyer format
with respect to the contents of Resolution No. 540-18; material to be added is underscored.
1. The title is amended to read as follows:
"A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION
OUT AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME
TO A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE HILO
HAMAKUA COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION FOR THE
WAINAKU KAIWIKI COMMUNITY HEALTH AND WELLNESS EVENT."
2. The second and third WHEREAS clauses are amended to read as follows:
"WHEREAS, HHCDC is collaborating with the Wainaku Kaiwiki Community
Association to conduct a health and wellness event on April 22, 2018, at Kaiwiki Park;
and
WHEREAS, the Wainaku Kaiwiki Community Health and Wellness event will
have informational booths on health education, demonstrations, entertainment, food, and
fun activities that promote physical fitness; and"

3. The enacting clause is amended to read as follows:
"BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
that Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the
Department of Parks and Recreation to provide a grant to HHCDC for expenses
associated with the Wainaku Kaiwiki Community Health and Wellness event."
4. The BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED clause is amended to read as follows:
"BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawaii
hereby transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:
