RESOLUTION NO. 560 18
A RESOLUTION APPOINTING DRU MAMO KANUHA AS REPRESENTATIVE AND
VALERIE T. POINDEXTER AS ALTERNATE REPRESENTATIVE TO THE
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE HAWAII STATE ASSOCIATION OF
COUNTIES.
WHEREAS, the Hawai`i State Association of Counties (HSAC) is a nonprofit
corporation comprised of members of the four County Councils of the State of Hawai`i; and
WHEREAS, Section 5 of the HSAC Bylaws requires each County Council to appoint
one of its members to serve as an officer of the HSAC Executive Committee and to designate an
alternate member, prior to April 15 of each year, whose term shall begin July 1 of the next fiscal
year; and
WHEREAS, Section 5 of the HSAC Bylaws also requires that in making the
appointment, each Council shall delegate to the appointees sufficient authority to formulate the
proposed slate of officers; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII Council
Member Dru Mamo Kanuha is hereby appointed as Hawai`i County Council's representative to
the HSAC Executive Committee and Valerie T. Poindexter as alternate representative for the
term commencing July 1, 2018, and ending June 30, 2019.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the President and Secretary of the Hawai`i State Association of Counties.
