Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation,to which was referred Bill No. 119,
reports as follows:
Bill No. 119, transmitted by Acting Public Works Director Allan Simeon, via Communication 792 dated
February 28, 2018, is an ordinance amending Chapter 24,Article 10, Division 1 (Speed Limits), Section
24-257; Schedule 5, 35 mile per hour limit,Paragraph (f)Kona, of the Hawai`i County Code 1983 (2016
Edition, as amended), is revised to read: "Ka`iminani Drive, from Ane Keohokalole Highway to Highway
190."
Further, Section 24-257, Schedule 5, 35 mile per hour limit, Paragraph (f) Kona, of the Hawaii County
Code 1983 (2016 Edition, as amended), is amended by adding a new listing to read: "Ka`iminani Drive,
from Highway 19 to Lau`i Street."
There was no public testimony nor committee discussion of this ordinance.
Your Committee on Public Works and Parks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and intent of
Bill 119, and recommends its passage on first reading.
