;pttloFk;q' <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII STATE OF HAWAII <br /> �: <br /> �rE oF•ws.P: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 567 18 <br /> A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT <br /> AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A <br /> DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT TO PROVIDE A GRANT TO THE HAWAII ARTIST <br /> COLLABORATION FOR THE HA 'OLA SPRING FEST HEALTH AND WELLNESS <br /> FAIR. <br /> WHEREAS,the Hawai`i Artist Collaboration is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization <br /> whose mission is to create opportunities for organizations and educators to share their collective <br /> knowledge, experiences, and resources for the benefit of society and Hawai`i's culture; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Ha 'Ola Spring Fest Health and Wellness Fair, sponsored by Kealakehe <br /> High School and the Peahi Education Group, Inc., was a free community event held on March 3, <br /> 2018, at Kealakehe High School to promote health and wellness and to provide health physicals <br /> to youth athletes in preparation for the spring/fall sports enrollment; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawai`i Artist Collaboration stimulates inspiration in youth by <br /> supporting special events, such as the Ha 'Ola Spring Fest Health and Wellness Fair that <br /> educated youth in the art of living healthy lifestyles; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Hawai`i Artist Collaboration is requesting funds to assist with <br /> reimbursement of expenses for the event's advertising, security, and costs for activities such as <br /> rock wall climbing, water sliding, and a bouncing castle; and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the Department of Liquor Control's goals is to support youth <br /> programs that promote alcohol- and drug-free activities, such as health and wellness activities for <br /> youth; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 2-139(a)(2)(A) of the Hawai`i County Code, <br /> Contingency Relief funds shall be transferred to an accepting County department/agency via <br /> resolution identifying the nonprofit organization and the specific program, project, event, <br /> activity, service, equipment, materials, or supplies for which the grant shall be used; now, <br /> therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 8 will be appropriated to the Department of <br /> Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Hawai`i Artist Collaboration for the Ha 'Ola Spring Fest <br /> Health and Wellness Fair. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby <br /> transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below: <br />
