RESOLUTION NO. 577 i-
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR PARK MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENT
PROJECTS AT VARIOUS FACILITIES IN COUNCIL DISTRICT 1.
WHEREAS,the Department of Parks and Recreation provides the public many
diversified recreation programs in our park facilities and gyms that address the needs and
interests of the respective communities in a safe and maintained environment; and
WHEREAS, Council District 1 has various park facilities in need of maintenance and
improvements; and
WHEREAS,these improvements include, but are not limited to, facility renovations,
fencing, landscaping, and other necessary and appropriate improvements; now,therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation for park maintenance and improvement projects in Council District 1.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
