I have been a resident of Hawaiian Paradise Park for 32 years. My daughter was born in the house I built here.A few
years ago, a man renting an adjacent property started raising and selling fighting cocks.The peace and quiet that we all
need and deserve was shattered. My mental and physical well-being plummeted. I suffered sleep deprivation that
negatively impacted my job as a teacher in our public schools.The unbearable noise of crowing roosters all day and all
night affected every aspect of my life.When my family came to the island to visit,they could not sleep in my home due
to the rooster noise.They had to get a motel room.
It is wrong for those propagating fighting cocks for an inhumane activity to impose their unacceptable consequences of
noise on neighbors.
It is my opinion that a space barrier is not nearly enough, but it's something to bring attention to the issue of
