JNtY os,,, <br /> COUNTY OF:HAWAI`..I -+ �''- o * STATE OF HAWAII <br /> TE OF•• 141, <br /> RESOLUTION NO: 591 18 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF AN <br /> ALCATEL 7710 NETWORK SWITCH FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF <br /> INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY <br /> WHEREAS, Hawaiian Telcom is donating an Alcatel 7710 network switch <br /> to the Department of Information and Technology; and <br /> WHEREAS, this equipment will be used to replace a switch which recently <br /> failed and allow the County to retain a backup unit; and <br /> WHEREAS, Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the.Hawaii County Charter <br /> provides that the Council, on behalf of the County, may accept gifts of donations <br /> of money, securities or other personal property or of real estate or any interest in <br /> real estate, and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (a) of the Hawaii County <br /> Code states that any gifts or donations of money, securities, or personal property <br /> which fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance, may <br /> be accepted by resolution approved by the Council; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Department of Information Technology recommends the <br /> acceptance of this donation;.now, therefore,, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII <br /> that in accordance with Article XIII, Section 13-12, of the Hawaii County Charter, <br /> and Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162(a) of the Hawaii County Code, the <br /> Council of the County of Hawaii accepts this donation. <br />
