of•L� • 7 <br /> 44, <br /> COUNTY OF HAWAII +� �' �* STATE OF HAWAII <br /> ATE OF•• <br /> µ'.11 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 5 18 <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING.'THE'PAYMENT''OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL <br /> YEAR AND OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE OF REAL <br /> PROPERTY FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FIRE DEPARTMENT. <br /> WHEREAS, Section 10-11 of the.County.Charter:.requires that any contract, lease or other <br /> obligation requiring payment of funds from the appropriationsof a later fiscal year or of more than one <br /> fiscal year be approved by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawai`i Fire Department currently rents warehouse space <br /> identified as a portion of TMK '(3) 2-2-040:036, Rental Space L, situated at 1990 Kino`ole Street, <br /> District of South Hilo, County and State of Hawai`i, and owned by Kaneshiro & Sons Enterprise, <br /> Limited and Glenn Kaneshiro Partnership ("Landlords"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawai`i Fire Department continues to need this warehouse space <br /> for the near future and so desires to:enter into a five year lease agreement commencing on June 1, <br /> 2018, for a five year term.ending May 31, 2023, with an additional five year option, with Landlords; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the County of Hawai`i Fire Department is requesting authorization for the Mayor <br /> to enter into a multi-year lease agreement with Landlords for warehouse space; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that the <br /> Honorable Harry Kim, Mayor of the County of Hawai`i,'is hereby authorized to enter into a multi-year <br /> Lease with Kaneshiro & Sons Enterprise, Limited and Glenn Kaneshiro Partnership, for a five year <br /> term beginning June 1, 2018, with an additional five year option. <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that sufficient funds be budgeted in future fiscal years to <br /> cover the anticipated obligations of the County under the terms of the Lease. <br />
