CALL TO ORDER: A public hearing to consider the proposed operating and capital budgets for fiscal
year July 1, 2018, to June 30, 2019, was called to order by Chair Valerie T.
Poindexter at 5:03 p.m., in the Council Chambers, Kailua-Kona.

PURPOSE OF CHR. POINDEXTER: This public hearing is pursuant to Section 10-4 of the
HEARING: Hawai‘i County Charter. We’ll be taking testimony on the proposed operating
