Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 133, reports as follows:
Bill No. 133, transmitted by Finance Director Deanna S. Sako, via Communication No. 852 dated
March 21, 2018, amends Ordinance No. 17-39, as amended, the Operating Budget for the County of
Hawai`i for the Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2018.
This bill appropriates revenues in the Federal—2018 Housing Trust Fund Grant account
($1,425,000); and appropriates the same to the Kaloko Heights Affordable Housing ($1,350,000)
and Office of Housing and Community Development Administration ($75,000) accounts. Funds
would be used towards projects that benefit persons of extremely-low income throughout Hawai`i
Island.
There was no discussion on this measure.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No.133, and recommends its
passage on first reading.
