Ms. Brewer currently works as the <br /> Communications Director for the Big Island Invasive Species Committee (BIISC). <br /> She is a former employee of the Department of Education as a middle and high school <br /> teacher and the US Forest Service Institute for Pacific Islands Forest in Hilo <br /> Ms. Brewer holds a BA in Biology from UH Hilo and an MA in Education from <br /> Chaminade University. <br /> Ms. Brewer has lived in Hawai'i for approximately 14 years. She was one of the <br /> organizers of the Women's March in Hilo and volunteers for Planned Parenthood. She <br /> states she is committed to making our community the best that it can be. Ms. Brewer <br /> works tirelessly to educate and inform residents to protect our island from little fire ants, <br /> rapid ohia death, albizia growth, and other invasive species. <br /> Ms. Brewer states she is not affiliated with any political party.
