Dear Chair Poindexter and Council Members:
RE: Communication No. 883, nomination of Jordan Calpito to the Cultural Resources
Commission
My nominee to the Cultural Resources Commission, Jordan Calpito, notified my office
that he is withdrawing himself from consideration.
Mr. Calpito was advised that his recently acquired position as a Burial Sites Specialist
with the State of Hawaii Historic Preservation Division would pose a possible conflict of
interest should he serve on the Commission.
I accept the withdrawal of Mr. Calpito and inform you that I rescind his nomination,
which was submitted in my letter dated April 6, 2018.
I will transmit a replacement nominee for this seat as soon as possible.
