RESOLUTION NO. 609. 18
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR TRANSPORTATION EXPENSES FOR THE
NORTH KOHALA SENIOR CITIZEN PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation, Elderly Activities Division, has
identified the need for funds to provide transportation for the North Kohala Senior Citizen
program; and
WHEREAS, the North Kohala Senior Citizen program provides an array of services,
including educational and recreational activities promoting health, dignity, and self-enrichment;
and
WHEREAS, the Department of Parks and Recreation is seeking $2,000 to subsidize a
day long excursion for the North Kohala Senior Citizen program to the Volcanoes National Park,
Kilauea Military Camp, and Big Island Candies in the month of June, 2018; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 9 will be appropriated to the Department of
Parks and Recreation, Elderly Activities Division, for transportation expenses for the North
Kohala Senior Citizen program.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and D rector of Finance, and that the Director
of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of
this resolution.
