Re: Resolution for multi-year agreement
The Police Department currently leases office space at 92-1329 Prince Kuhio Blvd in
Ocean View on a month-to-month basis. The Department seeks to enter into a five year
lease with an option for an additional five years to justify networking improvements
currently being considered.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the County to enter into a five-year, multi-year lease
agreement with an option for an additional five-years'with Oceanview Partners LLC, for
space in 92-1329 Prince Kuhio Blvd in Ocean View. This property, identified by Tax
Map Key (3) 9-2-185-094 will,continue to be utilized as a substation by the Police
Department.

A. REQUEST:
Prepare County Council submittal authorizing the County of Hawaii Police Department to enter into a Lease
Agreement for a five (5) year period with an option for an additional five (5) years for lease of space used by
the Ocean View Police Substation.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The County of Hawaii Police Department currently leases office space at 92-1329 Prince Kuhio Blvd in
Ocean View. The current lease is on a month to month term and the Department desires to extend the lease
for a longer term to justify networking improvements currently being considered. The new lease will be for a
five (5) year period from July 1, 2018 to May 31, 2023 with an option for an additional five (5) years.
