Res. 611-18: AUTHORIZES THE PAYMENT OF FUNDS OF A LATER FISCAL YEAR AND
OF MORE THAN ONE FISCAL YEAR FOR A MULTI-YEAR LEASE OF
REAL PROPERTY FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII POLICE DEPARTMENT
Authorizes the Mayor to enter into a new five-year agreement with an option for an
additional five years with Ocean View Partners LLC, to allow for the continued
occupancy of office space located at 92-1329 Prince Kuhio Boulevard, Ocean View.

Res. 615-18: DETERMINES THE REAL PROPERTY TAX RATES FOR THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 1, 2018, TO JUNE 30, 2019
Proposes rate changes that would decrease estimated real property revenues by
approximately $10,262,796. The Residential, Apartment, Hotel and Resort,
Commercial, Industrial, Agricultural or Native Forests, and Conservation classes of
property tax rates would be decreased; the Affordable Rental Housing and
Homeowners classes of property to remain at their current tax rates.

A RESOLUTION DETERMINING THE REAL PROPERTY TAX RATES FOR THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR JULY 19 20189 TO .TUNE 309 2019.
WHEREAS, Chapter 19, Article 7, Section 19-53(e), of the Hawaii County Code 1983
(2016 Edition, as amended), provides for the classification of property in the County of Hawaii;
and
WHEREAS, Chapter 19, Article 11, Section 19-90(b), of the Hawaii County Code 1983
(2016 Edition, as amended), provides for the establishment of tax rates via resolution by the
Council of the County of Hawaii for net taxable lands and net taxable buildings for each class of
property; and
WHEREAS, the Council of the County of Hawai `i has taken as a basis for calculating
the real property tax rate for the County of Hawaii the following schedule of aggregate values of
real property for the various classes in the County of Hawaii assessable for tax purposes as of
April 19, 2018, certified and furnished by the Director of Finance of the County of Hawaii:
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 11, Section 19-90(b), of the Hawaii County Code 1983
(2016 Edition, as amended), the Council of the County of Hawaii shall conduct a public hearing on
proposed increases or decreases to tax rates and adopt the tax rates on or before June 20, 2018; now,
therefore,
