SUBJECT: COMMUNICATION N0. 1432, REQUESTING A CROSSING GUARD POSITION FOR DE SILVA
ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
This is a follow-up letter to former Councilman Elroy Osorio's November 15, 1996
letter asking for our recommendation for a School Crossing Guard position for
Kaumana Drive/Ainako Avenue intersection. We informed him in our letter dated
November 20, 1996 that we would monitor pedestrian traffic at the intersection for
a two-week period.
The results of our survey are as follows:

We recommend that a School Crossing Guard be hired to assist children crossing at
this intersection.
