Additional funding is being - <br /> provided by the Hawai`i State Department of Health to cover the costs associated with facilitating <br /> a two-day training focused on-preventing underage drinking and prescription drug use in Hawaii <br /> County. The Office of the Prosecuting Attorney requests that this appropriation be increased by an <br /> additional $15,000. <br /> Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating these <br /> additional funds into the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney's Substance Abuse Prevention <br /> Coordinator account, bringing the total appropriation to $125,000. <br /> The Office of the Prosecuting Attorney is requesting that this bill be waived from the Finance <br /> Committee and be placed on the June 5, 2018 Council agenda and that the Council waive their <br /> five-day hold-for-reconsideration period in order to ensure this bill be processed during the current <br /> fiscal year.
