COUNTY OF HAWAII I . �.' ; STATE OF HAWAII <br /> .................. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 624 18 <br /> A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE DEPARTMENT OF LIQUOR CONTROL TO <br /> INCREASE THE GRANT AWARDED TO THE ARTS & SCIENCE CENTER BY$1,000 <br /> WITH PREVIOUSLY TRANSFERRED CONTINGENCY RELIEF FUNDS FROM <br /> COUNCIL DISTRICT 4. <br /> WHEREAS, on March 28, 2018, the Council adopted Resolution No. 530-18, Draft 2, <br /> which transferred Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 to the Department of Liquor <br /> Control to provide a$1,000 grant to the Kea'au Cougars Athletic Boosters for Kea'au High <br /> School's Grad Night 2018; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Kea'au Cougars Athletic Boosters no longer needs funding and will <br /> return the $1,000 grant to the Department of Liquor Control; and <br /> WHEREAS, on April 25, 2018, the Council adopted Resolution No. 563-18, which <br /> transferred Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4 to the Department of Liquor <br /> Control to provide a$1,000 grant to the Arts & Science Center(ASC) for the Hawai`i Academy <br /> of Arts and Science Public Charter School's (HAASPCS) senior trip and graduation dinner; and <br /> WHEREAS, the $1,000 grant that is being returned to the Department of Liquor Control <br /> will be allocated to ASC for the HAASPCS senior trip and graduation dinner for a total grant <br /> award of$2,000; and <br /> WHEREAS,both fund transfers were made to the same account(010.251.5251.39.115), <br /> so no additional transfers are needed; now,therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that <br /> Contingency Relief funds from Council District 4,previously transferred to the Department of <br /> Liquor Control to provide a grant to the Kea'au Cougars Athletic Boosters, will now be awarded <br /> to the Arts & Science Center for the Hawai`i Academy of Arts and Science Public Charter <br /> School for its senior trip and graduation dinner. <br />
