RESOLUITION NO. 625 18
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT FOR THE POLICE DEPARTMENT'S COMMUNITY
POLICING UNIT IN COUNCIL DISTRICT 2.
WHEREAS, the mission of the County of Hawai`i Police Department, Community
Policing Unit, is to work cooperatively with the community to enforce laws,preserve peace, and
provide a safe environment; and
WHEREAS, the Community Policing Unit provides outreach to the various communities
in Hawai`i County, including but not limited to Council District 2; and
WHEREAS,the Police Department is requesting funds for necessary materials and
supplies for its Community Policing Unit for the community outreach program in Council
District 2; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF HAWAII that
Contingency Relief funds from Council District 2 will be appropriated to the Police Department
for the Community Policing Unit in Council District 2.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Council of the County of Hawai`i hereby
transfers/appropriates the following amount as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall transmit a copy of this
resolution to the Chief of Police and Director of Finance, and that the Director of Finance is
hereby authorized to make the necessarytransfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
