Dear Councilman Tyler:
RE: GTE Hawaiian Tel Easement at Kilauea-Pauahi Intersection
I spoke with Gordon Yadao, who is a systems engineer with GTE Hawaiian Tel about the
above easement. He stated the above easement houses a cross connection box which serves the
area of Pauahi and Aupuni Streets including the Kaiko'o Mall, the State and County Buildings.
The cables actually run under the sidewalks and enter the mall neaz the old Sure Save location.
There are no lines into the mall in the area between the switch box and the old J.C.Penney
location.
