This agreement provides a license easement to allow the public to traverse portions of Mana Place which lies within DHHL-owned property and to allow for the County's maintenance of this portion of Mana Place. REQUEST: Prepare a County Council submittal authorizing the Office of the Mayor to enter into a license easement agreement with the State of Hawaii, Department of Hawaiian Homelands (DHHL), for a portion of"Mana Place" over and through the property identified as TMK No. (3) 6-4-004:057. B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED): DHHL proposed granting the County a license easement agreement for a portion of"Mana Place" over and through the property to provide a clear right for the public to traverse over this portion of Mana Place. Travel is required over this portion of Mana Place to access residential properties. Thus, this license easement agreement provides the public a clear right to traverse over this section of Mana Place, while also allowing for the County's maintenance of this portion of Mana Place.
