Funds will be used to <br /> purchase equipment that will allow police officers to have access to state-wide offender <br /> information and to transition to a standardized bar code system to track evidence. <br /> Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement to accept these funds. Also enclosed is a bill <br /> for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this $48,590 grant. <br /> The Police Department requests that this resolution and bill be waived from the Finance <br /> Committee and be placed on the July 25, 2018 Council Agenda in order to expedite the receipt of <br /> these funds.
