Funds will be used to purchase equipment that will allow police officers to have access to state-wide offender information and to transition to a standardized bar code system to track evidence. Enclosed is a resolution to enter into an agreement to accept these funds. Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating this $48,590 grant. The Police Department requests that this resolution and bill be waived from the Finance Committee and be placed on the July 25, 2018 Council Agenda in order to expedite the receipt of these funds.
