Dear Committee on Planning Hawaii County,
Our family owns two residences Big Island, South Puna, continuously occupied by some
family, with parts of residences rented when possible. [We have currently had to abandon, and
are unable to rent due volcanic activity.] The proposed restrictions would limit renting in a
reasonable manner. We depend on rental income to offset cost of these residences.
Also, Hilo -side Big Island needs as flexible renting regulations as possible to counteract the
catastrophic loss of rental property the past month.
