Dear Committee on Planning Hawaii County,
To whom it may concern. I have owned a home in Kailua-Kona since 1990 and it has always
been a rental for me. It affords me the opportunity to have extra income, since I am a widow
and depend on this for my expenses and daily life activities. I would also like to promote the
grandfather clause and allow me to continue with my rental as I have done for years. I am very
respectful of my neighbors and have never had one problem with my rental. Please take into
account the effect of changing policy"s for people who have had long term success stories
with their rentals. It accommodates travelers who do not want to stay in hotels, but Hawaii will
still benefit from.the taxes we pay and the tourism. Thank you for hearing my plea.
